Fayet-le-Château belongs to the Arrondissement of Clermont-Ferrand and the canton of Billom ( Saint-Dier-d'Auvergne until 2015 ).

location

Fayet-le-Château is located about 27 kilometers east-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand in the Limagne region . The municipality is crossed by the river Jauron , which is still called here Ruisseau des Ribeyres and Ricochet . Fayet-le-Château is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Égliseneuve-près-Billom in the north and northwest, Mauzun in the northeast, Estandeuil in the east, Saint-Jean-des-Ollières in the south and southeast, Isserteaux in the west and southwest and Montmorin in the west and Northwest.
