Isserteaux is located about 27 kilometers east-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand in the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park . Isserteaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montmorin in the north, Fayet-le-Château in the east and northeast, Saint-Jean-des-Ollières in the east, Sugères in the south, Manglieu in the southwest, Sallèdes in the west and Saint-Julien-de-Coppel in the West.
