Pérignat-sur-Allier (also: Pérignat-ès-Allier ; Occitan : Pairinhat ) is a French municipality with 1509 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clermont-Ferrand and the Canton of Vic-le-Comte (until 2015: Canton Billom ). The inhabitants are called Pérignatois .

geography

Pérignat-sur-Allier is located about twelve kilometers east-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand on the Allier , which forms the western municipal boundary. Pérignat-sur-Allier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mur-sur-Allier with Mezel in the north, Saint-Bonnet-lès-Allier in the north-east, Saint-Georges-sur-Allier in the south and east, La Roche-Noire in the south and Cournon -d'Auvergne to the west.
