Bouzel is located about 17 kilometers east of Clermont-Ferrand in the Limagne region on the Jauron River . Bouzel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beauregard-l'Évêque in the north and north-west, Seychalles in the north-east, Moissat in the east, Espirat in the south-east, Vassel in the south and Vertaizon in the west and south-west.
