Yronde-et-Buron is a French municipality with 648 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Clermont-Ferrand and to the municipality association Mond'Arverne Communauté, founded in 2016 . The inhabitants are called Yrondois .

geography

The municipality of Yronde-et-Buron is located on the upper reaches of the Allier in the Massif Central , about 20 kilometers south-southeast of Clermont-Ferrand . To the east, the terrain in Limagne gradually rises to over 800 meters above sea level. In addition to the eponymous villages of Buron and Yronde, the municipality includes the districts of La Molière and Fontcrépon as well as other small hamlets and individual farms. Yronde-et-Buron is surrounded by the neighboring communities Vic-le-Comte in the north, Saint-Babel in the east, Orbeil in the south, Saint-Yvoine and Sauvagnat-Sainte-Marthe in the south-west, Coudes in the west and Parent in the north-west.

The A75 autoroute runs southwest of the municipality, on the opposite bank of the Allier .
