Mauzun is a French commune in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes , in Puy-de-Dôme , in the Arrondissement Clermont-Ferrand and in the canton Billom . The municipality, which lies about twelve kilometers southeast of Billom in a hilly landscape, the "Auvergnatian Tuscany", is one of the very small municipalities in France with an area of ​​0.99 square kilometers. It is 500 to 652 m above sea level and has 115 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The departmental roads D 20 and D 20 c lead through the village.
