The canton of Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne was a French canton in the arrondissement of Riom in the department of Puy-de-Dôme and in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes until 2015 ; its capital was Saint-Gervais-d'Auvergne . Michel Girard was the representative in the General Council of the Département from 1998 to 2015, last re-elected in 2008. The canton was 261.44 km² and had (2006) 4,212 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 16 inhabitants per km².
