Condat-en-Combraille is located about 45 kilometers west-northwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the old cultural landscape of the Combrailles on the river Tyx , the Saunade runs along part of the northern municipal boundary . Condat-en-Combraille is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montel-de-Gelat in the north, Tralaigues and Villosanges in the northeast, Landogne in the east, Combrailles in the east and southeast, Saint-Étienne-des-Champs in the southeast, Voingt in the south, Giat in the Southwest, La Celle to the west and southwest and Saint-Avit to the west.
