Saint-Ignat is located about 21 kilometers northeast of Clermont-Ferrand and about twelve kilometers east-northeast of Riom in Limagne am Morge . Saint-Ignat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Surat in the north, Saint-André-le-Coq in the northeast, Maringues in the east, Saint-Laure and Entraigues in the south, Ennezat in the west and south-west and Martres-sur-Morge in the west and north-west.
