Davayat is a French municipality with 610 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Saint-Georges-de-Mons ( Combronde until 2015 ).

geography

Davayat is about eight kilometers north of Riom and about 23 kilometers north of Clermont-Ferrand . Davayat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beauregard-Vendon in the north, Cellule in the east, Saint-Bonnet-près-Riom in the south and Gimeaux in the west.

The motorway , which is made up of the A71 and A89 autoroute , runs through the municipality .
