The menhir Pierre du Tombeau (also called menhir of Davayat or menhir of Montotoute ) stands in a front garden on Rue de l'Eglise (D 17) in the center of the village of Davayat near Clermont-Ferrand in the Puy-de-Dôme department in France .

It is 4.8 meters high and is one of the largest menhirs in Auvergne , followed by the menhir Pierre Longue (Menhir de Fohet) near Aydat (4.75 m - 15 tons) and the Pierre Plantée from Champeix. The menhir survived between the houses, in contrast to another large menhir nearby, which fell victim to agricultural progress.

To the southwest of Clermont-Ferrand lie / stand between 20 and 30 menhirs and dolmens , including the dolmen de la Pineyre , de la Grotte , Saillant and the L'Usteau du Loup (House of the Wolf) in Saint-Gervazy.
