The Dolmen de la Pineyre (also called Bennet tumulus-dolmen La Bonnet) is located in Saint-Nectaire-le-Bas at Clermont-Ferrand in the Massif Central in the Puy-de-Dôme in the southern French region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

In the hills north-west of Saint-Nectaire, between the Puy de Châteauneuf and the village Freydefond is still almost complete Dolmen in a cairn of about 15.0 meters in diameter and 2.5 to 3.0 meters above sea level, in the eponymous pine forest .

Its architecture is more complex than that of the other dolmens in the municipality. The basalt capstone, weighing around 25 tons, measures around 4.0 × 3.0 m and rests on four bearing stones. No archaeological finds have been made.

It is located 500 meters from the menhir of Freydefond. In the “Parc du Dolmen”, the dolmen of Saint-Nectaire-le-Bas is also nearby .
