Cristiano Pavone

Cristiano Pavone (born June 28, 1972 in Milan ) is a former Italian football player .

The defender was with Perugia and Lecco at the beginning of his career . In 1994 he moved to second division side Atalanta , with whom he promoted to the Serie A managed. The next year Atalanta reached the finals of the Coppa Italia 1995/96 , which AC Florence won. He then went to FC Bologna , with whom he missed participation in the 1997/98 UEFA Cup by just one place . In 1998 Bologna qualified for the UEFA Intertoto Cup , but Pavone moved to Serie B for US Lecce in the summer . In November 1998 he was banned for three months for doping with anabolic steroids . At the end of the round, Lecce rose, but Pavone switched back to Serie B for US Salernitana during the winter break . After Cosenza he went to Como , which rose in 2002. But Pavone switched to Messina . Further stations were the third division club FC Crotone , again Como (Serie B) and 2004/05 Ancona (Serie C2). After that he was only active in amateur soccer.
