Vergheas is about 48 kilometers west-northwest of Riom and about 56 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand . Vergheas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Maurice-près-Pionsat in the north, Roche-d'Agoux in the north and northeast, Charensat in the south and east and Charron in the west.
