Charron is the easternmost municipality in the Creuse department. It is bordered by Fontanières to the north, Château-sur-Cher to the northeast, Saint-Maurice-près-Pionsat and Vergheas to the east, Charensat to the southeast, Dontreix to the southwest and Auzances and Rougnat to the west .
