Peter Dolder
Peter Dolder (born August 18, 1945 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor and theater director .
Life
After attending a commercial high school, Peter Dolder received his acting training at the stage studio in Zurich (today the University of the Arts). He then got engagements as an actor at the Ulmer Theater, the Theater Würzburg, the Stadtische Bühnen Lübeck, the Staatstheater Darmstadt and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. He also had guest engagements at the state theaters in Saarbrücken and Oldenburg.
He directed his first stage at the Landestheater Coburg , then became senior director at the Hof Theater and then at the Osnabrück Municipal Theaters . From 1993 to 1998 he was director of the Badische Landesbühne Bruchsal . He then became the director of the Württemberg State Theater in Esslingen . In 2004 he moved to the Salzburg State Theater as artistic director . He held this post until 2009. He is now retired and works as a freelance actor, director and teacher for cultural management.
