The Creuse flows through Clairavaux . The municipality borders on Croze to the north, Poussanges to the northeast, Magnat-l'Étrange to the east, La Courtine to the southeast, Le Mas-d'Artige to the south, Féniers to the southwest and Gioux to the west . history
