The commune is bordered to the northwest by Saint-Chabrais , to the north by Saint-Julien-le-Châtel , to the northeast by Le Chauchet , to the east by Saint-Priest and La Serre-Bussière-Vieille , to the southeast by Saint-Domet , to the south to Champagnat , to the south-west to Puy-Malsignat and to the west to Issoudun-Létrieix . The settlement area is 450 meters above sea level. The residents call themselves Peyratois or Peyratoises.
