Li Stadelmann

Li Stadelmann (born February 2, 1900 in Würzburg , † January 17, 1993 Gauting ) was a German pianist, harpsichordist and music teacher.

Stadelmann was the daughter of the psychiatrist Heinrich Stadelmann . She completed her training as a pianist and harpsichordist and then gave numerous concerts in Germany and other European countries. From 1921 to the 1960s she was a lecturer at the University of Music and Theater in Munich. Her musical oeuvre was the performance and compositional arrangement of the works of old masters, especially Johann Sebastian Bach . As a representative of historical performance practice, she specialized in the interpretation of pieces on old original instruments, for example from 1954 on playing the fortepiano .

Her performances have been recorded on many German and foreign broadcasters. Numerous records were released.
