Truffvenn near Burbach
Coordinates: 50 ° 8 ′ 12 ″ N , 6 ° 33 ′ 3 ″ E
The Truffvenn nature reserve near Burbach is located in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 6.4 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1986 , extends northeast of the local community of Burbach . The state road L 16 runs north and the L 33 south. The Tannenbach flows through the area.
The purpose of protection is
- the preservation of a raised bog complex in the Kyllburger Waldeifel with its rare and threatened animal and plant communities, as well as
- the preservation of the peat cover for scientific reasons.
