The nature reserve Kelterdell and Kuckuckslay near Echternacherbrück is located in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 61.7 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1991 , extends northwest of the local community of Echternacherbrück . Not far to the south runs the state road L 1, flows the Sauer and runs the state border with Luxembourg . The Fölkenbach flows to the west and the B 257 runs to the east .

The purpose of protection is the preservation of valuable semi- arid grasslands rich in orchids and warmth-loving bushes , species-rich deciduous forests and rock ecosystems as well as extensively used grassland areas and orchards as habitats for rare animal and plant species, especially bird and insect species, that are threatened with their populations .
