Urprümschleife near Echtershausen

The Urprümschleife nature reserve near Echtershausen is in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The approximately 6.5 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1996 , extends on the western edge of the community of Echtershausen . Not far to the east runs the district road K 71 and flows the Prüm .
The protection purpose is the preservation and development of wet and damp meadows and low moor complexes of a former river bend of the Prüm in the Islek area ( West Eifel ).
