The Im Bühnchen nature reserve near Peffingen is in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 8.8 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1987 , extends northeast of the local community of Peffingen on the district road K 16, which runs on the western and northern edge . To the west runs the state road L 7 and flows the Prüm .

The protection purpose is the preservation of the almost vegetation-free Keuperscharren and the extensively used lime- grass lawns with their adjoining bush formations and orchards as a habitat for numerous warmth-loving animal and plant species that are extremely endangered in their existence (especially from the group of insects ) and their communities.
