Daniel Haderschleeff , also Haderschlieff , Haderslieff , Hadersleff (* approx. 1623 in Danzig ; † November 24, 1675 in Graudenz ), was a German physician.

Life

Daniel Haderschleeff came from a Danzig patrician family ; he was a son of Lorenz Haderschlieff and his wife Catharina, geb. Schultz. The family came from a Danish privateer from Haderslev . After attending the Academic Gymnasium in Danzig, at the same time as Andreas Gryphius , he studied human medicine , initially at the Albertus University in Königsberg . In 1641 and 1642 he was the respondent to two disputations chaired by Daniel Beckher the Elder . In 1643 he traveled to the University of Leiden for further studies , where he matriculated on July 16. On May 9, 1644, he enrolled for one semester at the University of Strasbourg , as well as on August 24, 1647. Shortly afterwards, on September 9 and 10, 1647, instead of a dissertation, he gave two lectures on sayings attributed to Hippocrates , and on August 16 , 1647 September took place his doctorate to MD (= Dr. med. ) Under the rector Jacob Valentin Espich .

After his return to his hometown Danzig in 1649 Hadersleeff practiced here as a doctor. Later he was the city ​​physician in Graudenz, where he died in 1675.

He remained on friendly terms with Gryphius throughout his life. At the end of 1646 Gryphius, who had met him again on his journey from Leiden to Strasbourg, dedicated a sonnet to him . In 1663 he was one of the recipients of Gryphius' joys and sorrow games, including odes and sonnets . He himself also appeared as a writer of occasional publications .
