In 2012, Stefan Aigner wrote about Herzogenrath-Amelung that he represented “the who's who of the right-wing extremist scene”. Including the Nazi war criminals were Erich Priebke , the now banned Skinheads Saxon Switzerland (SSS), the right-wing terrorists Martin Wiese and several NPD functionaries.

In the same year he defended Norman Bordin and Phillip G. also in Munich. The two had played the title song of the series Paulchen Panther during a neo-Nazi demonstration, referring to the series of murders of the terrorists of the National Socialist Underground (NSU).

Since at least 2017, he has been defending neo-Nazis from the “Mittelrhein Action Office” in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, who are said to have founded a criminal association there and who, according to indictments, have acted against political opponents in Dresden, sprayed swastikas and attempted arson attacks on cars.
