The nature reserve In der Held bei Hüttingen is located in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 10.5 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1995 , extends north of the local community of Hüttingen an der Kyll . The B 90 runs directly on the northern edge of the area, the Kyll flows not far to the west and south-west, and the Katzengraben flows not far to the south-east and east.

The purpose of protection is the preservation and development of semi-arid grasslands , oat meadows and secondary rock ecosystems with adjacent bush formations as habitats for numerous warmth-loving animal and plant species and their communities that are extremely endangered.
