The nature reserve Mittleres Ourtal between Dreiländereck and Rellesmühle is in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 490 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1989 , extends between the municipality of Sevenig (Our) in the north and the municipality of Dasburg in the south . The Our flows on the western edge of the area and runs along the border with Luxembourg . The L 1 state road runs to the east and the B 410 to the south .
Protective purpose is the preservation of a natural submontanen valley landscape in western Central Europe as the habitat of rare, consisted of endangered animal and plant species and their companies, particularly in clean running water with slack water areas on wetlands and natural deciduous forest - coppice - and rock ecosystems bound species from the Groups of amphibians , birds , bats , beetles , butterflies , dragonflies , caddis flies and other invertebrates .
