The Mehlenbachtal nature reserve between Gondenbrett and Weinsfeld is located in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 164 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1997 , extends west of the city of Prüm along the Mehlenbach between the northeastern municipality of Gondenbrett and the southwestern Weinsfeld , a district of Prüm. In the central area the state road L 17 crosses the area, not far to the south the A 60 runs .

The purpose of the protection is the preservation, restoration and development of a largely natural stream valley typical of the Schneifel foreland with its adjacent wooded slope areas.
