The Mehlenbach rises in the Schneifel at an altitude of 641  m above sea level. NHN . The source is located on the southern slope of a nameless knoll ( 681  m above sea level ) about three kilometers north of Wascheid in the area of ​​the local community Gondenbrett . Mainly flowing south, the Mehlenbach flows east of Weinsfeld at 398  m above sea level. NHN in the Prüm .

Catchment area

The Mehlenbach drains a 32 km² catchment area via Prüm, Sauer , Moselle and Rhine to the North Sea .
