Clay pits near Utscheid

The nature reserve Tongruben near Utscheid is located in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The approximately 5 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1996 , extends south of the local community of Utscheid . The B 50 runs not far to the west .
The protection purpose is the preservation and development of secondary biotopes in a former clay pit in Bitburger Gutland .
