The nature reserve Im Odendell near Bettingen is located in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 1.4 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1989 , extends southeast of the local community of Bettingen . The state road L 7 runs to the west and flows the Prüm .

The purpose of protection is the preservation of valuable semi- arid lawns rich in orchids with adjacent warmth- loving bushes as a habitat for rare animal and plant species that are threatened in their existence, in particular bird and insect species .
