The nature reserve Ginsterheiden in the Irsental near Daleiden is in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The approximately 76 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1987 , extends east of the local community of Daleiden . The district road K 142 crosses the area in the middle. The B 410 runs to the west and north of the area . The Irsen flows to the east and a short distance on the eastern edge of the area .
The purpose of protection is conservation
- the broom pagans in Irsental, the rocky, poor grassland - deciduous forest - and river - ecosystems and various wet and Saumbiotope as habitats of rare, threatened in their existence of species-rich animal and plant communities and
- the fossil-bearing sediment layers for scientific and natural history reasons.
