Chambaron sur Morge is a French commune with 1,749 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Riom .
It was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the merger of the former communes Cellule and La Moutade . The spelling of the new municipality is officially without hyphens!

location
Chambaron sur Morge is located on the Limagne about nine kilometers north-northeast of Riom . The Morge River runs along the eastern edge of the municipality . Chambaron-sur-Morge is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Myon in the north and north-west, Aubiat in the north and north-east, Le Cheix in the east, Varennes-sur-Morge in the south-east, Pessat-Villeneuve in the south, and Saint-Bonnet-près-Riom in the south and southwest and Davayat and Beauregard-Vendon in the west.
