Le Cheix (also: Le Cheix-sur-Morge ) is a French municipality with 663 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Riom (until 2015: canton of Riom-Est ).
location
Le Cheix is located on the Limagne about eight kilometers north-northeast of Riom . The Morge River runs along the western edge of the municipality . Le Cheix is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aubiat in the north, Sardon in the east, Varennes-sur-Morge in the south and Chambaron sur Morge in the west.
