Organization of the art association

The art association is based on a "value-oriented funding structure". In order to keep the project independent, “sponsorship by multinational corporations for financing” is excluded. Instead, the “funding for the sustainable implementation of the projects is to be obtained purely from cooperation with regional sponsors as well as cultural funds and private donations”. This approach is intended to ensure that the art association is "non-denominational, non-partisan and not committed to any external interests."

Positive Propaganda has received institutional funding from the City of Munich 's Department of Culture since 2016 . In May 2015, Positive Propaganda was recognized and accepted by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Kunstvereine as a non-profit art association.

The art association has its own premises in Dachauerstrasse. This includes a project room that is used as a studio or exhibition room, as well as its own screen printing workshop. Since 2017, the Kunstverein has been running an artist-in-residence program in cooperation with the City of Munich's Department of Culture with the aim of enabling national and international artists to work on longer-term and independent projects in Munich.
