Working group of German art associations
The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Kunstvereine (ADKV) is the umbrella and professional association of non-commercial art associations based in Germany that are dedicated to the presentation and promotion of contemporary art . The ADKV was founded in 1980. Your seat is Berlin . It has around 290 art associations with a total of around 120,000 members.
The ADKV connects the art associations through a cultural-political network and represents their interests in political committees, vis-à-vis donors, through a joint internet and press portal and at international art fairs in Germany such as Art Karlsruhe and Art Cologne .
The ADKV sees itself as a mediator between art , politics , mass media and the civic engagement institution of the Kunstverein. With her work, she underscores the cultural and political significance of the art associations, which can look back on a history spanning more than 200 years.
Since September 27, 2014, the chairwoman of the ADKV has been the director of the Kunsthalle Lingen , Meike Behm.
