Chaki Wardak (also Chak ) is a district in the Afghan province of Wardak with the center Chaki Wardak ( ⊙ ), which is about 65 km southwest of Kabul .
The Chak-e-Wardak Hospital has developed into a fully-equipped 60-bed hospital since its inception in August 1989th The hospital is managed by Karla Schefter . A hydropower plant (3.3 MW) built in 1938–1942 at the Chak Dam ( ⊙ ) supplies the hospital with strongly fluctuating low-voltage electricity free of charge, although it is badly damaged and in need of repair, which can only be used for lighting. The rest of the power supply is provided by diesel generators.
