Marsat Town Hall

Marsat is a French commune with 1,360 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Châtel-Guyon (until 2015: canton of Riom-Ouest ). The inhabitants are called Marsadaires .

location

Marsat is located about three kilometers southwest of Riom and about ten kilometers north of Clermont-Ferrand in the old cultural landscape of Limagne . Marsat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mozac in the north, Riom in the east and northeast, Châteaugay in the south and Malauzat in the west and southwest.
