Malintrat is a French commune with a population of 1,132 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Gerzat . The inhabitants are called Malintraires .

geography

Malintrat is about nine kilometers northeast of Clermont-Ferrand . Malintrat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Beauzire in the north, Lussat in the northeast, Pont-du-Château in the east and south, Aulnat in the south and Gerzat in the west and northwest.

The A89 autoroute runs through the municipality .
