Les Ancizes-Comps is a French commune with 1,610 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Saint-Georges-de-Mons (until 2015: canton of Manzat ). The inhabitants are called Ancizois (es) .
geography
Les Ancizes-Comps is located about 26 kilometers northwest of Clermont-Ferrand in the Monts Dômes on the Sioule River , which forms the western municipal boundary, and in the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park ( French Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne ). Les Ancizes-Comps is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sauret-Besserve in the north, Saint-Georges-de-Mons in the east, Chapdes-Beaufort in the south and south-east, Saint-Jacques-d'Ambur in the south and south-west, Miremont in the west and south-west as well as Saint-Priest-des-Champs to the west and north-west.
