Loubeyrat is a French commune with 1,342 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Riom and the canton of Saint-Georges-de-Mons (until 2015: canton of Manzat ). The inhabitants are called Boueyratoux .

geography

Loubeyrat is located about nine kilometers north-west of Riom and about eighteen kilometers north-north-west of Clermont-Ferrand in the Monts Dômes in the Regional Nature Park Volcans d'Auvergne ( French Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne ). Loubeyrat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Charbonnières-les-Vieilles in the north, Teilhède in the northeast, Prompsat in the east, Châtelguyon in the southeast, Charbonnières-les-Varennes in the south and Manzat in the west and northwest.

The Autoroute A89 runs along the western and northern edge of the municipality.
