Joze is a place and a central French community ( commune ) with 1,101 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Thiers and the canton of Lezoux (until 2015: canton of Maringues ).

Joze is located about 19 kilometers northeast of Clermont-Ferrand on the Allier River . Joze is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Laure in the north, Maringues in the north and north-east, Crevant-Laveine in the north-east, Culhat in the east, Beauregard-l'Évêque in the south, Les Martres-d'Artière in the south and south-west, and Chavaroux in the south-west as well as Entraigues in the west.
