Paslières is a French commune in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It is part of the Arrondissement of Thiers and the Canton of Maringues (until 2015: Canton of Châteldon ). The municipality has 1,513 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), called Paslièrois .
geography
Paslières is located about 36 kilometers east-northeast of Clermont-Ferrand on the Dore River . Paslières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Puy-Guillaume in the north, Saint-Victor-Montvianeix in the east, Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle in the south-east, Thiers in the south and south-east, Dorat in the south, Noalhat in the south and south-west, Vinzelles in the west and Southwest and Charnat in the west and northwest. The former route nationale 106 (today's D906) runs through the municipality .
The municipality of Paslières is part of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park .
