Chabreloche ( Occitan : Chabralòcha ) is a French commune in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thiers and the Canton of Thiers . The municipality has 1,220 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Location and traffic

Chabreloche is about 48 kilometers east-northeast of Clermont-Ferrand on the Durolle River and on the edge of the Forez Mountains to the west. Chabreloche is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Arconsat in the north, Les Salles and Cervières in the east, Noirétable in the southeast, Viscomtat in the south and Celles-sur-Durolle in the west.

Chabreloche is now part of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park . The A89 autoroute runs through the municipality .

history

In 1874 the municipality was separated from the neighboring municipality of Arconsat .
