Arconsat is a French commune in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thiers and the canton of Thiers (until 2015: canton of Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle ). The municipality has 604 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Location and traffic

Arconsat is about 50 kilometers east-northeast of Clermont-Ferrand and on the edge of the Forez mountains . Arconsat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Priest-la-Prugne in the north and north-east, Chausseterre in the east, Les Salles in the south-east, Chabreloche in the south and south-west and Celles-sur-Durolle in the west and north-west.

Arconsat is now part of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park .
