Vinzelles is about 26 kilometers northeast of Clermont-Ferrand . The Allier limits the community to the west and northwest. Vinzelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Luzillat in the north and west, Charnat in the north, Paslières in the east and northeast, Noalhat in the east and Crevant-Laveine in the south.
