Sermentizon is a place and a central French community ( commune ) with 576 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (before 2016 Auvergne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Thiers and the canton of Les Monts du Livradois (until 2015 Courpière ). The inhabitants are called Sermentizonnais .

Sermentizon is about 28 kilometers east of Clermont-Ferrand . Sermentizon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Néronde-sur-Dore in the north and north-east, Courpière in the east, Trézioux in the south, Neuville in the west and south-west and Bort-l'Étang in the west and north-west.
