Palladuc is a French commune in the department of Puy-de-Dôme in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thiers and the canton of Thiers (until 2015: canton of Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle ). The municipality has 549 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Location and traffic

Palladuc is about 44 kilometers east-northeast of Clermont-Ferrand . The Credogne river limits the municipality to the north. Palladuc is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Victor-Montvianeix in the north, Lavoine in the northeast, Celles-sur-Durolle in the south and east, La Monnerie-le-Montel in the southwest and Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle in the west. The A89 autoroute runs along the southern edge .

Palladuc is now part of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park .

history

In 1908 the municipality was detached from the neighboring commune of Saint-Rémy-sur-Durolle.
