The European Thyroid Association is a specialist society dedicated to promoting thyroid research.
The company, which was founded in 1965, is operationally active through regular conferences , science awards, publications, the creation of guidelines and networking.
According to its own information, the society has over 600 members. She maintains several working groups, including the EUGOGO Group (European Group on Graves' Ophthalmopathy, a network on endocrine orbitopathy ) and the European Thyroid Association - Cancer Research Network (ETA-CRN Forum).
Meetings and congresses
With the exception of the years in which the International Thyroid Congress takes place, the European Thyroid Association organizes the European Thyroid Congress (ETC) annually , which is held in different locations in Europe . There are also regular meetings and courses for the working groups.
Promotion of science
Every year the society awards three science prizes for basic research , clinical and translational research . In addition, the ETA specifically supports clinical studies .
Publications
The European Thyroid Association has published the European Thyroid Journal (ETJ) since 2012, which is published by Karger-Verlag , Switzerland .
