The N493 was a French national road from 1933 to 1973 that ran between the N7 at Varennes-sur-Allier and Pont-du-Château. Their total length was 64 kilometers. In 1950, the N106 took over the 6-kilometer section between Creuzier-le-Neuf and Cusset by changing the route.
